This power supply contains the 20 pin ATX connector along with the additional 4 pin connector which works for both the 20 and 24 pin main connectors on your motherboards. Two fans, one in and one out insure a positive air exchange inside the power supply as well as aiding in warm air removal from the case. Accessory connectors include the main connector, (20+4 pin), a 12V P4 pin, 9 peripheral connectors, 2 SATA connectors, 2 Floppies and 1 PCIe connector. While the SATA connectors are limited, for the basic home computer, this power supply not only meets the typical computing needs, it also has room for growth and future upgrades.
My experience with the Thermaltake 430W power supply's', has been a long one, having one in a computer that is nearly 8 years old, (been upgraded of course), to my most recent purchase 2 months ago, and I have never had flaky voltages and all have been dependable and reliable. I've not had to replace one yet. There have been, according to other reviews however, a few DOA's, (though rare in number), but this can happen to any product by any manufacturer, and the handling of the delivery carriers can add to this problem, and does not appear to be a real issue with Thermaltake power supplies.
For the gamer with dual SLI video cards, lots of fans Harddrives, etc., the Thermaltake TR2 430W power supply may not be sufficient, compare the demand of the components to see if it handles all your needs. The output of this power supply is +3.3V@20A, +5V@30A, +12V@18A, -5V@0.5A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2A which should supply ample power for harddrives and cooling fans as well as several typical peripherals. For the typical home user however, I would not hesitate to purchase this power supply to replace an old failing system. I guess the best I can say is, I am pleased, enough to purchase more of these for additional builds and repairs.
