Thermogenics? What is This Weight Loss Concept?

Thermogenics, the Latest Weight Loss Star

Obesity is well and alive in America. Thanks to an endless list of fat-charged foods there are more overweight people than ever. We are also a nation of mechanical progress, with machines to do the labor people were once called upon to do. As we mass in cities the chores of old are done away with. No more wood stoves, chickens to feed, acreage to keep in shape. Children are sedentary in from of the television or video games, and the pounds roll on.

These patterns are so well-engrained in our lives that we haven't many areas to change, or the willingness to give up devices that do our labor for us. Add to that, places to eat that serve grease-soaked fast food and we are knee-deep in trans-fat, calories and cholesterol. Many of us have given up cooking as our grandmothers and mothers did. Women work and come home tired, too tired to cook a chicken from scratch; and it is so easy to visit the local chicken place or grab a burger somewhere.

Thus . . .diet pills, shakes, gum, gyms, jogging and a host of other ways for the health-concerned to take off pounds. There are many people, however, who aren't interested in healthy eating as much as losing unsightly pounds. These are the people in danger of getting into the cycle of trying every new diet pill touted as "magical", "miracle", the answer to your prayers.

Thermogenics is the new rage. Thermo means heat...so these are products that rev up our metabolism and get us burning fat. The basics of this are smart, it works. But there are thousands of pills out there reaching for our hard-earned dollars. Some of them are safe and some can kill.

Basically caffeine is a base for adding other ingredients. Unfortunately, some of these other ingredients are things that have an ephedrine base. We all know that ephedrine is used as a street drug in crank, speed, methamphetimines and other concoctions. Before methamphetimines became illegal they were used in diet pills that a doctor would subscribe. It was totally legitimate. You went to a diet doctor and he would check you out and keep you supplied in prescriptions for these diet pills.

There is one thermogenic product that has no harmful substances. Green tea is a safe way to lose weight. There are now combinations that work and are safe, if you use them with a doctor's care. There is a combination of green tea, hoodia and magnolia that gets your metabolism working at higher speeds. It is available over the counter and it not expensive. Weight loss is on a gentle curve, which is the best way to lose, and you aren't ingesting anything that is chemically compounded.

Be careful if you decide to lose weight. There are no miracles in weight loss. This type of thermogenic made from natural substances will help you lose, but no pill will take off pounds or keep them off unless you follow it with a healthy diet and sensible exercise. Be safe, use your head and don't rely on an outside substance to trim you down. It takes that something we no longer seem to have in much abundance, good old-fashioned hard work!
