Theroies on the Creation and Evolution of Mankind

In the Beginning

Kevin Lamb
Throughout history countless civilizations have debated the origin of mankind. Each civilization states that their theory is correct in its interpretation. While no one knows exactly where mankind got its start, it's definitely a subject that has bewildered even the best minds.

The Debate

Christianity and evolution (Natural Selection) have both been heavily debated since the theory of Natural Selection was first published in 1858. Both Charles Darwin, and also Alfred Wallace stated that Natural Selection is what helped the species to evolve to what now roams the Earth today. However, this theory does not explain "how" life was created in the beginning.

Scientists state that everything was created in the "Big Bang" from a singularity which was no larger than a quark. From this quark everything that is today came to be. This is where my mind seems to take a mental break.

Let there be Life

Some theorists and scientists alike have also reported that "simple celled creatures on the Earth were first formed from the geological coincidence of a particular group of chemical and environmental materials that were in close proximity of each other." These chemicals eventually took an electrical charge which "put into motion" the first basic life on Earth.

The odds of this happening are very remote to say the least. Even the most intricate life forms and species on the Earth were formed and came to be by the single celled organisms is sometimes hard to understand.

Intelligent Design holds to the theory of a directed creation, but does not name a creator of the known universe. This theory states that "creation features of the universe and living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process."

Where as evolution states that genetic changes are passed through reproduction which provides changes to "alternative traits in organisms." It also states that natural selection helped stronger traits become more common, while weaker traits became less common, and also rare.

The Movement

However mankind became what it is today "movement" is what created life as we know it. Whatever this movement was is still up for debate. Something (or someone) caused this movement no matter what your theory is. After the first movement light came into existence, or was created. Light (or the sun) is then what helped sustain life as we know it.

Whoever or whatever created the known universe is for each individual to decide. Each soul on Earth must decide their own path of spirituality and belief on the theory of creation. Whatever your theory is about creation is totally your choice.

Popular Belief

Over 90% of the population on Earth believes in some type of creator. If you contend that two heads are better than one, then surly what the majority believes "could" be something to keep in mind.

Our creation is a subject which will probably always be debated in this life, so whatever the latest theory is will usually not change your perception on the subject. Where we came from is an important matter to keep in mind, but the real question to contemplate is where do you go when you leave this world? Now that's a real cliffhanger.
