The most memorable wedding I've ever attended was a very close friend of mine that I attended church with. It was the perfect wedding, with 3 bride's maids, maid of honor, along with 3 groomsmen and the best man. I remember walking into this quaint cathedral, with its stain glass windows and velvet covered benches. Shortly after being seated I noticed, along with the other guest, that the groom was not in his place.
Too late, the wedding march began and doors swung open and the bride appeared with her father at her side. As she began walking down the aisle, to her dismay, her groom wasn't standing at the front waiting to greet her. Her face lost color as her father continued to walk her down the aisle, patting her hand while reassuring her that everything was ok.
As she reached the front, her father turned to kiss her, when all of the sudden guitar music began to play in the background. In walked the groom playing "if" by Bread with a guitar strapped to his side. The bride began to cry along with her guest, as the groom approached the front, getting down on one knee as the song came to an end. It was obvious that it was "their song".
I'm a true believer that music is an expression of the soul and what better way to share those moments than to put your favorite songs on a CD for your guest in memory of your wedding day. To compliment this, make a handmade cover, bearing a picture of the bride and groom, along with the wedding date.
This will be the wedding favor long remembered and cherished for years to come!
Directions for making your Handmade CD cover;
Take a sheet of white printing paper, facing you long ways
Place CD at the top, centering the paper in the middle of the CD circle
Fold the left side over, bringing it even and crease it all the way down
Repeat on other side
Fold the topside down with CD and crease
Fold the bottom half, coming even with the top of the CD
Tuck the top inside the lower part of the paper
Voila! You now have your own personalize CD cover with your favorite pic of the bride and groom on the front.
