Things that I Am Thankful for in 2009

Seth Southall
Life is so busy and I am sure that most of us take feeling thankful for granted. There are some things I am very thankful for this year, they include (in no specific order):

1. My family who is always there for me, loves me unconditionally, and lends open ears when I need someone to talk to.

2. My friends who, like my family, are always there for me, listen to me, try to help me out, and I am glad I can socialize with them.

3. My job because it helps me to pay my bills and I am also thankful that in this time of money issues they didn't have to let me go.

4. That my car is still running because I can not afford a new one. Even though we have had to fix a lot on the car I am glad I don't have to get a new one quite yet. I can save up money for a new car in the mean time.

5. The opportunity to be able to go to college and better my education.

6. For having the Internet so I can get things done.

7. My cute cat Timmy who I can cuddle up with.

8. Beautiful sceneries while on top of mountains and hills.

9. The warmth of sunshine on a cool day.

10. The cool air hitting my lungs when I step outside

11. Very hot showers on very cold days.

12. The scenic routes!!

13. Strangers being kind, which is very rare these days.

14. Catching someone's eye

15. The smell of burning wood with cold air.

16. Facebook

17. Dove Chocolate(Milk Chocolate mostly)

18. Ice cream with Reese's

19. My cellphone with Verizon service because Verizon is one of the best providers.

20. Music which makes me very happy.

21. Having a relatively good computer

22. Having heat in the winter because I get very cold.

23. Living in a relatively nice looking town that is diverse.

24. Having a mattress bed warmer so I can hop into a nice warm bed.

25. Being able to afford things.

26. My parents are letting me live with them rent free while I attend school.

27. Having air to breath.

28. Having water to drink.

Your list reminds me of my son who is in a very similar position to you. He doesn't live at home but is thankful for getting a scholarship to school. I know it can be tough for students, trying to get through during a recession.
