1. Go through old photo albums. Looking through old photo albums is a nice way to spend your time. You can relive old memories, have a couple laughs and look at how things ''used to be."
2. Make a scrapbook or new photo album. Do you have loose photographs lying around the house? Do you have pictures in your camera that need to be developed or printed out? Get those pictures together and start making a scrapbook. Use your computer or cut out words and pictures from magazines to add creativity. I've used the borders from old greeting cards to use as a frame around my photographs. It looks nice and it's free.
3. Go to the library and find a good book. Getting absorbed in a book is a good way to cure boredom. If it is a book that you are interested in, then it will hold your attention for awhile. If you do not like to read books, try a new magazine with self help features or home decorating ideas. Try one of the self help features or decorating ideas.
4. Play a video game. No matter what age you are, video games can be fun. There are plenty of video game options out there, such as, karaoke, action, board game/game shows, sports, etc. Do you like to sing? Buy a karaoke video game for your video game system (if you have one) and see how well you do. Most karaoke video games will give you a rating or score on how well you can hold a note. You just might end up having a lot of fun.
5. Do a crossword puzzle. Crossword puzzles and other mind puzzles are good for your brain and concentration. There are crossword puzzles in the daily newspapers as well as some really good crossword books in stores that range from EASY to HARD. Give yourself the challenge.
6. Have fun with food. Look through a cookbook or look online for a new recipe. Write the recipe down and try something new for dinner or dessert tonight.
7. Write a nice letter to someone you love. If you like to write and there is someone in your life that you love or care about, then get out some paper or a blank greeting card and write them a letter. Write about how much you love them, why you love them and how happy you are to have them in your life. You might end up making someone's day much better.
8. Listen to your favorite songs. Put on the radio or pop in a cd and listen to some of your favorite songs. It can put you in a good mood and help take your mind off your boredom. If you like to dance, dance around the room. Dance like no one is watching. Have fun with it.
9. Learn a new dance. If you like to dance, try going online and looking up the latest line dances. See if you can learn them so that you are prepared for the next party, wedding or club you go to that plays line dances. Even brushing up on some old line dances can be fun.
Hope I didn't bore you more with these ideas. The point is to help get rid of your boredom. I hope these suggestions help!
