Things to Do in Canton, Ohio

Hope Newton
Football Hall of Fame

This is one of the biggest attractions in the Canton area and draws many people here. Depending on when you come there may be other events sponsored by the Hall of Fame. During the summer there is a festival leading up to the induction ceremony. You will need to check the website to see if anything special is going on during the time you'd like to visit.

Harry London Chocolate Factory

Right in Canton, Ohio you can tour this factory and see how chocolates are made. No tours are given on the weekends and there is only a certain time of the year when tours are available. The prices of these tours are very cheap and are only $3 and $2. This is a once in lifetime experience and you should take advantage of it.

Various Art Galleries

Located all around Canton are various art galleries and museums. Two of my favorite art galleries are 2nd April and Lazar's Art gallery. The first is located in Canton on Cleveland Ave and have many different types of art. The other gallery also displays many different types of art by local artists.

McKinley Monument and Museum

This is located right near the Football Hall of Fame. Here at the monument President McKinley is buried and you can walk up the 108 steps to the top. This is a must see attraction if you're in the Canton area. It's also a learning experience where you can take your children.

Shopping and Dining

Canton has a variety of places to go shopping. There is Belden Village Mall and the Strip which each have many different stores and places to shop. Also all over Canton there are many different dining options and you will never be short of a place to find the type of food you desire. Many restaurants are also located by Belden Village Mall and the Strip.
