If you love art, you should visit Cincinnati Ohio. The first thing you will notice in Cincinnati are the hilarious painted pigs placed along the sidewalks. The pigs will set the pace of Cincinnati, as this is a marvelously artistic city.

You will want to check out the Cincinnati Art Museum on Eden Park Drive, open since 1881 this incredible art museum houses over 60,000 pieces of art spanning a time period of over 6,000 years. This amazing collection includes works by a great assortment of well known artists including van Dyck, Miro', Renoir, and even Picasso. Art from ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt, Africa and the far east are sure to delight you. This museum includes photography, drawings, sculptures, textiles and paintings to name a few.

The Cincinnati Art Museum offers adult services such as book clubs, film showings and guest speakers. You can additionally take advantage of painting sessions, The Summer Art Connection, and children's authors.

The museum gift shop offers t shirts, posters, Christmas ornaments and unique signed and numbered Andy Warhol's Pete Rose posters.

Admission is free, and the museum opens at 11 am Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Mondays and major holidays.

Cincinnati is also home to many other fantastic museums and art galleries. As well as many other entertaining opportunities. You can take in a Cincinnati Reds game, which can be fun if you are into sports or not, as well as a Cincinnati Bengal's game. This is a great trade off ladies! You agree to watch a Bengal's or Red's game while in Cincinnati, and drive home, so your husband can get drunk, rowdy and behave like a man at a sports game, and in return he will accompany you to the Cincinnati Art Museum, where you will take in over six thousand years of masterpieces. It is a pretty great trade off, considering he most likely won't want to go to the art museum, and you most likely won't want to go to a Bengal's or Red's game.

There is so much more to Cincinnati than art and sports. It is a lovely city on the river, and within moments you can be at The Newport Aquarium, in Newport Kentucky, this is an ideal activity for seniors, couples, children and singles alike. The aquarium is peaceful, serene and an all around great time. I had a blast in Cincinnati and I am sure you will too. It is an ideal destination for stay cationers in Ohio.
