Signature Drinks are intended to make a distinction of both the event and its host.

Regardless of what will it be, be a wedding or a simple birthday, there are factors that one has to consider in making a good signature drink.

And, factors are as follows:

1. Personality of the host. It should be distinctive as your personality is. The quantity of alcohol, ingredients, garnishing and flavors make up the distinction, which should reflect your character.

2. The theme of the event. Whether it's a renaissance, a retro, or a futuristic kind of a party, the theme and its colors has to match the appearance/presentation of the drink.

4. The budget. Knowing how much you have in hand and how much your limit would be in spending; buying the ingredients and garnishing, is a must. In this way, if you'll know that since you have limited budget, you can work and find alternatives that you can afford, without changing the theme you already have in mind.

5. What's in season? Most of the cocktails' flavor comes from fruits that are mix on it. So, before finalizing your plan, you might as well check first, if the fruits that you would be using are in season.

6. The kind of crowd. Of course, you have to consider also, as to who your guests would be. Their status quo in life or in the community, are something that you shouldn't just set aside. If it's just a family party and you're just expecting relatives and friends, it's pretty loose, there won't be much pressure. But, if it's a big event or occassion, involving huge personalities, VIPs, bosses, you have to give importance to their attendance, in such a way, you meet their expectation. Not just to impress, but to show how much regards you have for them.

7. Ease of preparation. This is for individuals, who are planning to give a good party, just by her/himself. But, if you're well-off enough to have a catering services or an event planner on your side, need not to worry about this. But, if this isn't your case, you should think of using a simple, ready-made recipe, made up of accessible ingredients. In this way, you won't be cramming out of time.

8. Garnish. This has so much part in making your signature drink unique, by putting a personal touch on it. Not just to decorate and present it nicely, but it also gives the host an oportunity of convey a message to all the guests. Like for example, a stirrer, which on top has your name, the occassion and the date and time. It could also be, an advance "thank you" message from you to the guests.

Two words to keep in mind; make it unforgettable and create a distinction.

Keep a checklist of all these and you'd be good to go.
