1. Spritz On Lavender.
Lavender water, lavender scented cologne or perfume is a relaxing and calming scent and will make your nose and your hair feel invigorated. A few drops of lavender scented oil can be put into a spray bottle, shaken and spritzed on the hair.
2. Dryer Sheets.
Take a dryer sheet, bend it around a chunk of separated hair at the top of the scalp and slide it slowly down the strands. This will leave behind a nice clean scent while freshening hair and reducing odor.
3. Baby Wipes.
Separate strands of hair, bend the wipes around strands and follow through in the same way as done with the dryer sheets. When done the wipe could be applied to the skin and may feel cool and help to cool one off when its hot out.
4. Baking Soda.
Bow the head over a trash can and pour a teaspoon to a tablespoon of baking soda on the scalp. Comb out. As the baking soda is combed out it will eliminate odor and freshen up the scalp and hair. It may also help to remove dandruff flakes.
5. Baby Powder.
Apply and comb out as done with the baking soda. Baby powder is probably not going to be as odor absorbent though but it may feel softer and more comforting to the scalp.
6. Febreze Or Like Products.
Spray lightly in hair to neutralize odor.
7. Feminine Spray.
Spray lightly in hair to neutralize odor. It may be more effective at odor neutralizing than with Febreze. Since the use for its odor neutralizing capability lies in other regions.
8. Anti-Perspirant / Deodorant Spray.
Lightly spray in hair. It should be fairly effective in neutralizing odors. Its effectiveness may be time limited according to what the label gives it as lasting to. For instance, it may only work for eight hours, twelve or twenty-four.
9. Steam.
Steam could freshen and control odor but it takes longer to do and you likely would not be able to carry it with you. It's probably best to go ahead and wash your hair than to steam it. However if you wanted to use steam you could use a vaporizer or a steam iron.
