Graham, Washington, is an exciting place to visit with many fun activities within a 50-mile radius to provide entertainment for all ages. Pierce County is home to a community of nearly 9,000, according to the 2000 census. Individuals visiting the area will have the opportunity to partake in festivals, golfing, museums, galleries, theaters, camping, hiking, birdwatching and many other activities.

Graham is located within 30 miles of 10 golf courses. The courses include: Classic Golf Club in Spanaway; Lake Spanaway and Meadow Park Golf Course in Tacoma; Lipoma Firs Golf Course in Puyallup; High Cedars Golf Club in Orting; Brookdale Golf Course in Parkland; Club House Pro Shop in University Place; Tanwax Greens Golf Course in Eatonville; and Linden Golf & Country Club in Washington. Karpeles Manuscript Library Newseum

The Karpeles Manuscript Library is located in Tacoma, just a short drive from Graham. Karpeles Manuscript Library is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is located in the former American Legion. This beautiful Greco-Roman columned building displays many newsworthy articles and artifacts from the history of the United States after it became a superpower.

Operation Paintball

Operation Paintball is located at 20819 Jansky Road in Graham. An excellent location for individuals who enjoy paintball fights. Bring your own paintball equipment to save money and time. The location is full of good hiding places to implement an offensive or defensive tactics. The natural surroundings provides the feel of a real mission. The paintball activities are fun for the young and old alike.

Seattle Lakes Tour

The sightseeing cruises of Seattle Lakes Tour are located just 38 miles from Graham. The departure point for the cruises is on South Lake Union at the AGC Marina Dock E. Enjoy a 2-hour cruise on both Lake Union and Lakes Washington. A tour guide is available to give live narration on the history and interesting facts of the area. The historic houseboat community is part of the cruise. The cruise runs all year except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Activities for Kids

Kids can enjoy a ride on David's Party Trains located in Tacoma. All rides are by appointment only. The trains are equipped with rubber tires so they can travel on the neighborhood streets. Activities are provided on the train to keep children from the age of 5 to 10 well-entertained. Parents are welcome to drop off their children but many decide to stay and enjoy the activities. Just 8 miles from Graham is Puyallup. The Puyallup Fairgrounds provides activities for the entire family throughout the year. The Puyallup Fair for 2010 will be held Sept. 10 through Sept. 26. The Pro Rodeo will be in session from Sept. 10 through Sept. 12. Each month provides numerous activities including collector shows, dog shows, conventions, graduations and much more.
