Things to Do on Holiday in Menorca Spain

Spain boasts a couple of small islands, one of which is Menorca. Menorca lies in the Mediterranean Sea and gets its popularity from the provision of memorable holidays for tourists the world over. It's main features are its second-to-none appearances, its splendid beaches and "affectionate" climate.

Many couples and families see Menorca as the place to go on vacation. It is ideal for it in a sense, as it provides beautiful self-catering apartments which can be rented at any time of the year. One other characteristic of Menorca, called Minorca in Spanish, is the presence of vast stone monuments which immortalize its ample record of foreign authority.

Holidaying in Menorca provides tourists with an assortment of activities which make the experience worth every penny. To start with, one of the biggest and richest Museums named Mahon is strategically located on this interesting island. This museum painstakingly documents the rich past of Menorca. Another museum, the Hernandez Sanz Mora, contains loads of works of art which range from maps to etchings which can be traced back to as far as the 17th, 18th and 19th century. Quality undiluted from both museums. Amazing how close you can be to these pointers of history by renting apartments few meters away from them.

If you are one for adventures, then look no further - Menorca is the place. Sports which include pony trekking and riding of horses can help keep you busy during your holiday period. Suffice to add the presence of the more popular games like football, tennis and basketball. You can also choose to spend the whole day in the luxury of your rented villa's swimming pool and save it all for the night.

This is simply because night life doesn't get any better than you see it in Menorca. A legion of restaurants and bars which hardly blink all night grace this beautiful island. Summer patios can also be found at Muelle de Levante, while Punta Prima and Alayor can be considered if you are a tourist that relishes the dance floor. Nightclubs that grace these areas provide tourists with experiences they will forever live to remember.

A bulging pocket makes it easy to define Menorca for a tourist, as shopping can virtually take the whole of your time if you allow it to. Quality clothing, foot wears and the likes in places like Mahon and Ciutadella will keep you buying all through.

Activities abound for both adults and children on this funky island. Get holidaying and get busy. Menorca is the place.
