I have been thinking a lot about soccer. Spring is here and with it comes a new season. I'm feeling pretty good and find myself at a solid playing weight of 180lbs. For a few weeks in December though I thought I was starting to look too much like Ronaldo, the fat one, not Christiano, the one that gets all the chicks.
Just as I do every season I commit myself to playing defense. And I will. Just maybe not at the same speed my opponent is playing offense. That's the real problem. Maybe if I had a heftier contract...
Also, with spring comes baseball. The crack of the bat, my championship caliber Fantasy Team, and The Great Depression. Is there any realistic hope that the Indians might sign someone like Ryan Howard in the next few days? Surely he's telling his agent right now that Cleveland is a much better place to play than Philly!
March Madness is almost here too. Wake Forest is driving me mad right now though. I confess that I am a bandwagon jumper who leapt aboard after they beat Duke. But, they have a great story and who can't pull for a point guard that wears the number 0. We just don't see that enough. I am also waiting for a Carolina PG to wear 99. I just think that would be pretty brash!
Television is heating up. Or at least it is for me because I have so many shows stored up on DVR. But, just a quick comment about Heroes. Where are they going with Peter's story arc? I mean seriously, he was pretty cool when he had everyone else's powers. Now, he just comes off as a bit of a pansy. It's about time he blows some stuff up!
Also, I am wondering what real Grey's Anatomy fans are thinking about Katherine and T.R. leaving the show.
Speaking of Katherine Heigel, I think it's time that the WB / UPN classic Roswell is made into a movie. I am talking about a 2hr extravaganza! You thought teenage girls lining up to see Twilight was an event, if done right, Roswell: A Love That Never Dies, catchy title don't you think, would literally bring the box office to its knees. I am very serious about this. I am sure there are young actors and actresses out there dying to cut their teeth on a project like this! I also think Bush needs to get back together and write the title track. Just sayin'.
Finally, sometimes I just have no concept of reality so I wanted to thank my wife for pointing something out to me the other night. After languishing through another episode of 90210, I made the comment, "You know, the original was so much better." Her reply really made sense. "I never saw the original so I can't be sure, but I know you, so I'm guessing that you just think it was. And that's why I love you." So, here's to Brandon and Dylan, you may have been poor actors, but I'll never go back and check.

Heroes. Oh Boy. We abandoned that one months ago. So sad. Thank goodness for LOST. I dig your Roswell idea.
