Laurel Caverns
The Laurel Caverns is a park that covers 435 acres and includes Pennsylvania's biggest cave. Want to explore the depths of the huge cave? Staff at the Caverns conduct a trip that outlines over two miles of both developed and undeveloped portions. The trip, while exciting and adventurous, is physical, involving much climbing up and over rocks. Please carefully consider whether you and your family can make the three hour trip.
For the even more adventurous, try rappelling in the cave. For a fee, those aged 12 and up can rappel for two hours in the cave with the experienced staff.
Try your hand at Kavernputt, this miniature 18 hole golf course that took three years to make. Each hole is unique as they were designed to display a wonderful aspect of the caves.
Field trips are a great way to get your children to learn and have fun all at the same time. The Cavern also offers a fossil hunt, a fabulous gift shop, a geological Seminar, picnic areas, and panning for gemstones. What a great way to have some fun with your family and learn at the same time!

Laurel Highlands Model Railroad Club
LHMRC is an organization that was founded for non-profit to raise money for participating charities. Anyone with an interest in model railroads will find this club a fascinating place to explore.
The club is always in need of business or individuals for help with existing fund raisers or for planning new ones. Every year, if you are a business, you can purchase a train car with your businesses logo emblazoned on it. The train is then run and displayed on the amazing overhead ceiling tracks, which are located at the Glades Court Train Display Showroom, and the net proceeds will then be donated to a children's group.
The gift shop offers a wide variety of cups, t-shirts, train sets and train equipment, toys, and much, much more. Soon to be available is an online gift shop, where you can purchase all your souvenir needs online. To find out more about this wonderful organization, please visit their website at www.lhmrc.org.
