I just wanted to be your friend
But the second time I saw you
I wished the day would never end.
No words of love we shared
Just small talk we made
But you showed me that you cared
And I wish I could have stayed.

But I left the moment stray
To speak of love I did not dare.
The visit to the park
Where the mistletoe grew
Has forever left its mark
Though no kiss we ever knew.
Weeks have gone since last I saw you
Things were left unsaid, untold
Fate might bring me back to you
But for now, love is left on hold.
