Things Are Never What They Seem

True Colors Are Rarely at the Surface

Mike Perry
Things are never what they seem;
People lie, cheat, steal & deceive;
And yet they act as if everything is okay;
Priests and Pastors will molest,
Bosses and Employees will turn their backs,
And yet they act as if everything is okay;
Friends will betray, Family members will turn away,
And yet they act as if everything is okay;
Do you ever sit and wonder who will give,
That next Judas kiss which you will never forgive,
And yet they act as if everything is okay;
Hidden deep within ones soul,
Is the very color waiting to be shown,
And yet they act as if everything is okay;
I have learned that it takes a while,
To watch someone manifest and morph,
Into a dark ominous cloud,
So I now comprehend that the surface we should never skim,
But wait long enough to experience the depth,
Now having said this, nothing should ever be seen as just okay.
