Imagine watching the sunset seeping over the skyline of Oklahoma city in the distance. Hearing the melody of the constant colors shifting in the evening skies. Such beauty can be found in the Great State of Oklahoma. Many things are offered to the traveler seeking solace, and a comfortable vacation, or even seeking a place to live, that is not as fast paced as the larger cities the US has to offer. The Village is a suburb of Oklahoma City located on the Northwestern side of Oklahoma County. Easily accessed by the larger highways, and interstates criss crossing over the plains. The red river, which has been branched into the new river-walk, cutting through historic Bricktown, in downtown Oklahoma City, offers the population, and vacationers fine places to dine, among the nightlife of Oklahoma. Movie theater, Concert, Sporting events, and business access. Many fine Antique stores, as well newer shops line the streets. The city has made an attempt at making commuting less of an issue, having most everything within walking distance in the downtown area.

Moving a little farther North from the city, one will find the Oklahoma Zoo. Which houses multiple animals, offering a way for children to view the animals in the natural habitat. Also the Zoo, is celebrating the Oklahoma Centennial Celebration this year, which offers fireworks displays, as well as paddle boats, and ton's of family fun for all ages. Housed next to the Zoo, is the Onmiplex. A conglomeration of Scientific information ranging from Plant life, to Oil information, and so much more. The Omnidome is the newest addition to the Omniplex, offering a view of nature programs in wide screen, and a way for the family to learn while enjoying the peace of a comfortable environment.

Across from the Zoo, is Remington Park. A family friendly area, with games and food and dun for the children, and the option of Casino, and Horse Racing for the Adults. All centered in this area, creates a traveling experience which does not take time to commute very far, from the hotel in which you stay. Across the Interstate is the Cowboy Hall of Fame. This is a building offering families a way to discover the roots of the State of Oklahoma. Downtown off of Lincoln the Oklahoma City Museum can be found. Showing historic times in Oklahoma, as well as Artifacts. This year, Downtown Oklahoma, in the Myriad Gardens, Shakespeare in the Park is showing many of the classical plays.

Oklahoma City, has many things to offer. Theme Parks such as Frontier City, and White Water Bay.. Family friendly activities such as the Myriad Gardens, Bricktown Ball Park, The Bricktown Canal, Harkins Theaters, so much more. Welcome to the family when you come. Never will you find nicer people and a more welcoming population then those of the Okies.

Well, to be short. Which is funny because I am rather short. Ok I digress. I live in the central/southern part of the US. I enjoy writing, and singing, and I almost have the american dream.  View profile
