Things to Do and Places to Visit in Tenerife

Tenerife is a lovely and beautiful holiday destination as some parts of it are still unspoilt, quiet and open to exploration! Whether you are going for a week or 2, here are a few ideas and suggestions as to what you can do when you are visiting Tenerife:

1. Hire a car. Tenerife is not that big, so it is possible to explore various and different parts of the Island by car - at your own leisure of course

2. Why not take a trip or excursion up to Mount Teide. This is a must for any holiday goer in Tenerife.

TOP TIP: Compare prices when looking for excursions, try to haggle and get the best price you possibly can. Also remember to check that the tour operator or similar has adequate insurance.

3. Have a tour of the Island.

4. Why not take a visit to Castillo San Miguel and enjoy a banquet and a good night out.

5. Why not visit the Loro Parque theme park.

6. Why not take a trip to Santa Cruz, get in on the hussle and bustle and go shopping at the same time.

7. Why not relax and play a bit of golf or even crazy golf.

TOP TIP: Try not to plan too much, as sometimes things don't go to plan and this can upset and in some cases ruin your holiday.

8. How about going shopping. There are bargains to be had, so why not enjoy a leisurely day of shopping strolling and eating.

9. Why not go hiking.

10. Why not visit another area of Tenerife, for example why don't your hire a taxi or similar to take you to somewhere that is perhaps a little bit more quiet- just do something that's a bit different to what the other tourists are doing - you might have fun!

TOP TIP: Relax but don't let your guard down, Scams exist anywhere and everywhere so don't get caught out when you least expect it.

11. Why not go out on a boat trip - Or perhaps even hire out your own!

12. Why not check out what bus and/or other tours and excursions are on offer.

13. How about visiting one or two of the museums that Tenerife has to offer.

14. Why not experience the fine black sand that Tenerife has to offer on its beaches.

15. How about going diving and exploring the waters.

16. How about hiring a pushbike and going cycling.
