December Nights in Balboa Park

When: December 5, 2008 5pm-10pm, December 6, 2008 noon-10pm

Cost: FREE

What: Called "The largest free community festival in San Diego." Will include live music, food, museums open for free from 5-9pm, beautiful light displays, and much more.

Julian

Where: Julian, California

Cost: depends on activities

What: So many things to choose from. Just an hour or so drive from San Diego,this little town has everything you need to got into the holiday spirit. There are wandering carolers, performing arts shows, craft fairs, and the most unique and beautiful little shops and places to eat. Don't skip going to Julian this December!

Bates Nut Farm

Cost: Depends on how much yummy homemade fudge you want to buy.

What: There are craft fairs, car shows, and a whole farm. There is a store with homemade treats of all sorts and a little botique with unique womens clothng accessories and gifts. You can even order their treats on the website if yo won't be in town anytime soon.

Festival of the Trees

Where: The Four Seasons Aviara Carlsbad, CA (in the spacious hotel lobby and halls)

When: December

Cost: FREE

What: Walk the halls and lobby and enjoy the beautifully decorated large trees. They are decorated with various themes and very interesting and creative. One that stands out to me from a few years ago is a Degas (the artist) themed tree. It has little ballet dancers and coordinating colors all over.
