Transnistria is situated within Moldova. It remains slightly unpopular because it does not get the recognition of any international organization. Despite that, it works and functions like a state on its own. Tourists are known to fill Transnistria at all times during the year.

There are several reasons why tourists can simply not do without visiting Transnistria. If you are interested in paying a visit, there are choice places and locations that distinguish Transnistria. First is the river called the Turunchuk. It is the second largest in the whole of Moldova and festivals are staged there yearly.

Lovers of mountains and adventures will certainly fancy their chances with hiking and cycling as major attractions in Transnistria. The presence of the river also encourages lots of water sports which are indulged in by natives and tourists round the year. The weather is also strongly influenced by the river and it makes it retain a fresh feel throughout the year. Fruits and vegetables are also abundant here.

Transnistria has a capital named Tiraspol. This is because it is a breakaway state and as such has a right to independence. This capital city is fast growing and new restaurants, shops, sports complexes and many other places of interest spring up time and again. The location of the place close to the center of Europe aids its accessibility and lends credence to its claim as q good holiday spot.

Tiraspol also boasts a couple of parks which contain facilities that children like. Little wonder most families across Europe consider Transnistria as an ideal place to bring their kids to. Kamenka and Slobozya also have special monuments which attract tourists.

Another unique feature of Transnistria is the presence of different cultures. This makes it cosmopolitan in nature. All the people on the island are distinct and tourists warm up to their friendly nature. This is aiding their development as investors are gradually trooping in to aid their economic development.

Another river called the Dneister river also attracts its own fair share of tourists. The set-up of the entire area and its weather gives the "paradise on earth" impression. Getting in and around Transnistria is made easy by the presence of several cultures fused together in and around the capital city.

Families can always rent holiday homes at cheap rates and spend time with their loved ones in this beautiful and emerging place. Interestingly, one visit is never really enough!
