Teens go through many troubles in there seven years of being a teen. Some of these things are small where others are concerns parents should know about. When kids hit the teen years, they seem to back away from their parents and not communicate as much with them. In this article, we are going to take a look at some of the things teens will worry about and alert the parents to them. Not all teens will worry about the things in this article, but most will. So, if you have a teen, please read this article.
School
School will put a lot of worrying on your teen. They worry about doing good, getting good grades, passing the class and thinking about college. All at the same time of being peer pressured by other students. So, this is something you may want to talk to your teen about. Also help them with school work they may have trouble with.
Peers
Peers could be the worst for your teen if they are hanging out with the wrong group. So, you will need to make sure that you speak with your teen about the peers they are hanging out with. Explain to them how they need to hang out with those who care about school, want to go to college, is not on drugs and having sex.
Work
If your teen is working part time to earn money, this may be a worry on their mind. If they are not working, the worry of trying to find a part time job may also be on their mind. Try to be supportive when it comes to your teen trying to find a job. Try and help your teen find a job.
Sex
I know this is the one word parents do not want to hear. But you are going to have to face it. Sex is everywhere and kids as young as 12 are doing it. I'm sure your teen has been pressured to have sex; I'm not saying they have followed through, but I'm sure they have been pressured. Rather male or female. This is where you will have to be supportive and have great communication with your teen. Let them know that sex is not all it is cracked up to be when you are a teen. Explain how they should save themselves to marriage. This is something every teen is going to face and you really need to have a strong bond with your teen and be there for them.
College
If your child wants to go to college, this will be another worry on their mind. Getting good grades to get into college and taking the exams to make it into college are two big worries. There is not too much you can do when it comes to this worry, but you can be supportive and offer whatever help they may need. Simply let them know you are there if they need anything.
