There are even beach rentals like umbrellas, lounge chairs and rafts available for you to rent on a daily basis to make you playtime on the beach even more enjoyable. The sound of the waves will just pull you right in. On our first trip to Tybee we had arrived too early to get into our hotel room so we just picked up our blanket and headed to the beach. The beautiful sound of the water is hard to resist.

Let's not forget one of the best places in town to eat.....The Crab Shack. This is my families favorite resturant to eat at on Tybee Island. Oh! The memories! I took my Girl Scout troop from Dallas, Texas to Tybee Island - the Marine Science Center and dissecting octopus, the swamp hiking, the beach combing, and especially the "Crab Shack: Where the Elite Eat in their Bare Feet" made the most fabulous memories . . . Those girls were 13 then, and at 22 years old they all still rave of their time on Tybee! 'Nuf Said??!!
