Miracles
I've seen lives change in recovery and I've seen miracles happen, and I've even experienced a few miracles myself.
My Dream
Here's my dream, to have a 13-story building that's an Alcoholics Anonymous Recovery Center. Have Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in the building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Have the floor numbers correspond with the step number AA meetings. For example, 1st step meetings on the first floor, 2nd step meetings on the second floor; and so on. Have general AA meetings on the 13th floor. Also, an Alcoholics Anonymous 24-hour a day help hotline will be on the 13th floor as well.
Alcoholics Anonymous Recovery Center
Have 1,000 acres around the Alcoholics Anonymous recovery center be for large apartments designated for clean and sober living. Have another 2,000 acres designated for buildings that support clean and sober activities.
Different Recovery Groups
Have an additional 1,000 acres designated for 24 hour a day, 7 day a week meetings in buildings that have different recovery group meetings in it. Groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Sex Anonymous would all have meetings in those buildings as well as other 12-step program support groups.
Private Security
Have private security throughout all of the different recovery centers. This would also include under cover security officers attending meetings as well.
Hospital
Have a hospital setup on the recovery center campus. Have the hospital staffed with highly qualified doctors and nurses who specialize in dealing with different addictions.
Millions Of People Affected By Addiction
The reasons this is my dream is because there are millions of people affected by addiction who; could live better lives if they knew how too. The ability to live better lives free of addictions starts with education. By providing a place with a supportive environment to help people learn how to live clean and sober, it can only make a better world for all of us to live in.
Millions Of Dollars
I should probably add a final note saying that if I had millions of dollars at my disposal I would also seek counseling because I don't want to get power hungry and start thinking that I can be king of the Earth or anything. As members of humanity, we must all live together, peacefully and in harmony.
