Think About

Think About...

Being that Thanksgiving is quite near,
I'd like to share a little bit of poetry with you, my dear.

Out of work, bills piling up, and no where to turn?
Think about...contacting your church, state agencies, local organizations, and learn.

Feeling overwhelmed and totally stressed out with the kids, the spouse, or significant other?
Think about...contacting a crisis hotline, your local pastor, a counselor, a loving sister or brother.

Maybe, you're a little down about being among the sick and shut in with no visible kin?
Think about...all the souls who gave their lives fighting for everything they've truly believed in.

Even though things aren't going as planned, give thanks and eliminate the negative chatter.
Think about...all the positive things you have and never think your life doesn't matter.

No matter what you're going through in life, it's always best to think before acting.
But, most of all, think about...living life, being happy, and taking control without overreacting.

In his collection of spiritual poems, "The Prophet", the Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran posits that pain is the tool that carves out the cup in which we can fill and experience joy. The more we suffer, the more pleasure we can appreciate.I think he is correct and it sounds like you do, too. Very nicely written!

One thing I have learned in life, no matter how bad I think MY life is going, someone else always has it worse. Welcome back, Margaret.
