Think of Her, Think of This

Carol Hebert
An angelic beauty bathed in sunlight

Her hair, confused, flies around her face

She seems like she could take on the fight

With her eyes alone. I can see her heart race

She is a warrior

She is a mother

Instead of looking for the key she kicks in the door

She hates your killing order

Her stride, confident and graceful

Her voice, strong and commanding

Every word from her mouth, entrancing and meaningful

Every action filled with love and understanding

The beauty of a sunrise

The strength of a lioness

The well of emotions in her eyes

When I think of her, I think of this.
