Lizanne, a former model, and the creator of Think Thin made this all natural, high protein, gluten free bar with 0g of sugar to "nourish those on those on a quest for a healthy vital life."
The Think Thin Chocolate Fudge contains a protein blend (whey and soy protein isolate), a coating (maltitol, cocoa butter, chocolate liquor, dairy oil and natural flavors), glycerin maltitol syrup, ground almonds, soy flour, chocolate liquor, cocoa powder, and other ingredients
Chocolate Fudge contains 240 calories, 70 calories from fat. 8g of fat, 2.5g of saturated fat, 5mg cholesterol, 150mg sodium, 110mg potassium, 27g of carbohydrates, 1g of fiber, 0g sugar, 15g of sugar alcohol, and 20g of protein.
It contains vitamins A, B6, B12, C, E, folate, calcium, iron, phosphate, thiamin, riboflavin, and many others.
I wanted the Think Thin protein bar to be healthy, but I also wanted it to be tasty. I ate it a couple of days later. It looks similar to a candy bar, it has a chocolate coating but it's very compacted and feels heavier.
Chocolate Fudge has a firm but chewy and moist texture that felt really satisfying to chew. It tasted like a blend between a piece of fudge and a thick brownie. Even though the chocolate has 0g of sugar it wasn't bitter like dark chocolate, it was sweet enough and tasted more like cocoa which I enjoyed.
The protein bar also tasted slightly nutty to me almost like peanut butter, but I guess that flavor came from the ground up almonds. After I chewed each bite there was a slight after taste to it, slightly bitter and slightly nutty at the same time.
The aftertaste didn't ruin my experience though because it went away after a few seconds. I actually liked it a bit better than eating a real piece of chocolate or fudge because it was cleaner and more interesting than the aftertaste sugar leaves behind.
And even though this Think Thin Protein Bar has only 1g of fiber, the bar is so thick and compacted that I could only eat half of one in one sitting. A small amount made me feel full and satisfied my sweet tooth.
In the End...
I enjoyed eating the Think Thin Chocolate Fudge Protein Bar. I will buy one whenever I'm craving chocolate, it hits the spot without all of the excess sugar. 4 out of 5 stars.
