What exactly is an orgasm, anyway? - Although there are various definitions of what an orgasm really is, most sources agree that an orgasm is a heightened state of sexual satisfaction and release of pent up tension.
Is there any scientific evidence to thinking off - After hearing about Carrellas's claims, scientists were intrigued and wanted to see if it was really possible for someone to achieve an orgasmic state simply by thought alone. During an orgasm, a portion of the brain lights up, signifying that an orgasm is occurring. After performing an MRI on Barbara Carrella's brain in order to corroborate her claim of her ability to achieve orgasm by simply thinking herself into one, scientists discovered that her brain did in fact light up during her "thinking off" session. This was the necessary proof in order to corroborate Carrella's claim: it is possible to enter into an orgasmic state simply by thinking it.
How do you think off - Barbara has taught classes teaching others how to achieve sexual fulfillment by thinking off. Featured on a new series titled "Strange Sex" on TLC, Barbara wasn't embarrassed in the least about her ability, and enthusiatically explains that it's easy to "think yourself off." It's all about relaxation, breathing techniques and focusing on something that turns you on, such as a sexy picture, your mate, etc. Carrella's goes on to say that anyone can learn to think off as it isn't difficult to learn, and one plus is that you can do it anytime and it's safe.
Despite being featured on the TLC series called "Strange Sex," many researchers and sexologists feel that Carrellas's ability isn't "strange" at all, nor is it new. Sex specialists of the 70s, Masters and Johnson, authors of several sex-related books, studied the ability to achieve orgasm by thought alone.
