Thinking Out Loud - Get Ready for 2010 Now!

Voting is a Right Best Exercised by People Who Have Taken Time to Learn About the Issues. - Tony Snow

Charles B Reynolds
2010 elections for Congress cannot come soon enough for me. There is a runaway train of people who would use their office for power grabs, liberal agendas and vendetta paybacks. I know that everyone out there is feeling the pinch of our poor economy. You haven't gone to dinner lately at a nice restaurant (and no, McD's with a PlayPlace doesn't count). You haven't bought that flat screen TV or that new microwave or maybe even that new car because it is a luxury item. And there are people who have gone to Goodwill instead of the GAP or Penny's to buy some clothes. (I know this because Goodwill sales are on the rise).

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Nancy Pelosi opened the 111th Congressional session by tying the hands and gagging the mouth of Republican Representatives. You say 'so what.' But this is horrible in our democratic republic. I a single-handed move for power and retribution, she stole the voice of nearly half of America. I don't care what side of the aisle you are on, this is just wrong and everyone knows it.

And just look at the out of control spending by this singularly controlled Congress. Would you have allowed these people to spend over a trillion dollars (that we do not have, by the way) in only 50 days? We are going through tough economic times and they are spending millions on swine odor research and teen parks and rail lines between Disney and Vegas. All these ridiculous spending bills they have wanted for 40 years are now in their purview to spend. Except this is not the time to go wasting valuable tax dollars.

You want real change in Washington? Well here is your chance. Start campaigning for or writing letters to those who would seek office in 2010. Let them know we will not stand by and let them dismantle America for their own selfish needs.

Vote these Senators out in 2010:

In Arkansas, Sen. Blanche Lincoln.
In California, Sen. Barbara Boxer.
In Connecticut, Sen. Christopher Dodd.
In Florida, Sen. Mel Martinez (remove this guy in the Primaries).
In Hawaii, Sen. Dan Inouye.
In Maryland, Sen. Barbara Mikulski.
In Nevada, Sen. Harry Reid.
In New York, Sen. Chuck Schumer (this guy is a criminal who should have been removed by Congress already).
In North Dakota, Sen. Byron Dorgan.
In Ohio, Sen. George Voinovich (remove this guy in the Primaries).
In Oregon, Sen. Ron Wyden.
In Pennsylvania, Sen. Arlen Specter (he constantly sells out the ideas he professes to believe in the constituents who sent hiom, so remove this guy in the Primaries).
In Vermont, Sen. Patrick Leahy.
In Washington, Sen. Patty Murray.
In Wisconsin, Sen. Russ Feingold.

All 435 seats in the House of Representatives will be up for election in 2010. Vote every single Democrat Representative out of office; especially "San Fran Nan" Nancy Pelosi. This woman has the audacity to claim bipartisan efforts and then tapes the mouths and hands of all Republican Representatives for the duration of the 111th Congressional session. She rails at CEOs for taking corporate jets and then uses taxpayer dollars to fly all over the place in 'private' military aircraft. If the people of her district feel they must have a Democrat in office, then they should at the very least defeat her in the Primary contest. Throw this bum out who talks of your sacrifice yet lavishes it on herself and her 'friends'. Dispose of this power mad despot who takes away the voice of nearly half of all Americans.

We can all make this the most monumental protest in the history of elections in the United States of America. We can let our voices be heard in Washington and across this great land. Yes one vote can make a difference. Check out this article to see how one vote has made an impact, for good and ill, in the past..

Agree or disagree with me. Call me a patriot or label me a rabble rouser. Makes no difference either way, so long as it gets you thinking. Because this is just me, Thinking Out Loud.

Have a great day!

You are so right. Great line in your opening from Tony Snow. Most of these senators keep their jobs simply because of name recognition. People don't take the time to learn about other candidates. And what many don't realize is that the eoonomic downturn started when the Democrats won Congress in 2006.
