Thinking Out Loud - Are They Bankers or a Clique of Theives?

The Modern Banking System Manufactures Money Out of Nothing. - Josiah Stamp

Charles B Reynolds
So how many of you have made an honest mistake in your check book, and overdrew your account by a few pennies? How many thought an automatic payment was coming out the day after payday but it ended up the day before?

And how many of you found yourself so deep in debt to your bank that even your paycheck couldn't cover all the fees?

When are we going to stop being sheep when it comes to banks and mortgage companies and retailers and credit card companies and the government pushing us around?

Banks have so many ridiculous (and criminally high) fees they charge you each month that someone should investigate them for racketeering. If you use an ATM to get your money out, the owner of the ATM will charge you a fee. If it is not your bank, your bank will then charge you a fee. You get charged overdraft protection fees if you need your money to go from your savings to your checking. And they will charge you a service fee if you don't deposit a certain amount into your account each month.

Even if you go over the money in your account by a few pennies, banks now charge you upwards to thirty or forty dollars for overdraft fees. They charge you this each day you don't bring your account current. But they send you a notice via mail, which takes several days to reach you, about the mistake in your account. Meanwhile the fees keep racking up.

And now they not only rip you off with their fees and charges and protections (didn't the mob charge for protection?), they dip deep, and I mean DEEP into your pockets through the billions of taxpayer dollars from the TARP and Stimulus and whatever other money our current leadership (and I use that term ever so delicately) wants to throw at them.

Do we get accountability for this money they are taking from the public? No. Do we know how got what and when and what they were supposed to use it for? No! Do we even get anything in return for all these billions upon billions of dollars ripped out of our pockets and the pockets of our children and grandchildren? H E Double Hockey Sticks NO!!!!

Yet here they are, taking our money coming and going. And coming again! They double dip in their fees, they triple dip with the taxpayer funded bailouts. They do nothing to ease our credit issues, neither individuals trying to keep a roof over their heads nor businesses trying to keep their people employed. They say if you don't have a credit score over 750, they can't help you get a house (who has one that high these days?). They won't release funds for small businesses to make their payroll or pay their suppliers. They do nothing for all the money they take from us. If we still had the mob around, at least you knew where you stood with them. You knew what would happen and what they could do for or to you.

I say let them fail. I say take all your money out of Citi and Bank of America Wells Fargo, et al, and stuff it into your mattress. I say turn all those fat cat CEOs (and I mean the ones who did nothing to add to the success of the bank but took their big payouts) into the streets and see how long they would last if they had to stand up to the scrutiny their banks hold for everyone else. If you have to send a check, get a money order.

I don't want nationalized banking any more than I want national health care (shudder). I want a responsible banking system that remembers that it is our money that we are investing in their business; not their money that they graciously allow us to withdrawal. Down with the banking system! Down with the Federal Reserve and all their phony baloney, tax cheating imbeciles!

Agree or disagree, say I am a genius or stark raving mad. Either way, it makes no difference. This is just me, (being "mad as hell" and) thinking out loud.

Have a great day!

Uh oh, someone's been listening to Hannity. Kind of hard to believe that someone who is supposed to be such a wiz at finance couldn't figure out he had to pay taxes. But hey, maybe the old adage "it takes a thief to catch a thief" might apply in Geitner's case.

Turbo-Tax Tim Geithner is going to fix this. NOT!
