Thinking in Solutions

Kurt Evans
Thinking in solutions, is not something that we're taught to do. We grow up learning from our parents who fret around and worry about things. Why do they do this? That's what they learned to do from their parents. You learn how to do it from them. And, your kids will learn how to do it from you.

Vicious Cycle

Have you ever thought that we could put an end to this vicious cycle? Did that ever occur to anybody?

Concept Of Thinking In Solutions

We have to go back to the concept of thinking in solutions. First, we have to want a solution to our problems. How many of us get extreme joy from just complaining about our problems to anyone and everyone who will listen? Think about it.

Believe

Next, we have to believe that there's a feasible solution to the problem.

The Easy Way Out

So many times we stop ourselves from looking for a solution because we're too darn lazy to look for a solution and we just accept the fact that there's not a solution because that's the easy way out. By thinking this way, we close ourselves off to any solution whatsoever.

Blood, Sweat, And Tears

One thing that I will tell you here is that in order to find solutions, you have to put forth a certain amount of effort. Nothing has ever been accomplished by having the solution handed to you on a silver platter. The truth of the matter is that you have to work for the solution. It may take some blood, sweat, and tears for you to find the solution.

New Worlds

When you are thinking in solutions and you have an open mind to new concepts and new ideas, new worlds will open up before your very eyes.

Truth

You might think that it happened by magic and, the truth is that it's been there the entire time. You didn't see it because you weren't open to the idea.

Thinking In Solutions

When you are thinking in solutions, you're not wallowing in self-pity or despair. Thinking in solutions means that you're looking at the many ways to fix the problem. Thinking in solutions means that you're problem solving.

Problem Solving

Problem solving requires that you do some thinking in solutions.

Solution

The next time you're stuck with a problem; don't be surprised when the solution jumps out at you because it was there the entire time.

Great job - I once had a teacher who always talked about the "vicious cycle".
