Two shows instantly sold out at the 17,000-seat mega arena, where so many of the famous people of our time have performed, and now Kathy Griffin has just announced that she has added a third show to the line up. For those of you who are not from the area Madison Square Gardens is located on 7th Av, between 31st and 33rd in Manhattan.
Officially tickets for her third show, which will take place January 29th 2008, will go on sale tomorrow at 10am. Her first two shows are completely sold out, so if you want tickets and you do not want to pay an arm and a leg for them, you better get in line or jump online. I took a look at the tickets that are being offered on eBay, and a pair of tickets could easily run you $400!
Here is a little inside tip. Thought her website says that the tickets officially go on sale tomorrow. I jumped onto ticketmaster.com to view the seating chart, and was able to find tickets for the show that were available today. So get your mouse clicking, and your keyboard ticking, and get those tickets. These few shows that Kathy will be performing in our city are set to become some of the hardest tickets to come across this season.
Some inside advice to those of you who are planning to go to the show, but have not been to Madison Square gardens. Parking in Manhattan is horrible, and can be very expensive! You can take the train to Penn Station, and that is located right next door to the arena. Make sure that you check with NJTransit, PATH, and the LIRR to find out what train you should be taking from your area to the show. This will save your time, because traffic in Manhattan is almost impossible to avoid. And chances are that there will be a lot of people on the train going to the show. I am sure that it will turn out to be a great ride. Plan to be there early because the lines will be long, and of course take a jacket it is winter after all.
Keep warm, bring someone close to you, and as Kathy would say, "Laugh till you puke...Just a little. Hope to see you there.
