Third Shift Blues
Not easy to do
It gives me the blues
Up all night
Asleep all day
No time for family
No time for play
For ten years
All I've been able to do
God I hate this shift
But what are you going to do?
Going to bed at the crack of day
Sleeping your daytime away
Working thru the night
Your body knows it's not right
What I wouldn't give for a dayshift job
Better than being a night time slob
I feel like a vampire creeping thru the night
Drive a stake in my heart I wouldn't put up a fight
I have no more to say, because now it's day
So off to bed I head
To prepare for another night
As the walking dead.
