Thirty-Two
Becoming of Age
For Years I dreaded........
Thirty was shocking
Years after that became average
Remembering when Twelve was a time for change
Fourteen was decent
Sixteen was turbulent, acting on feelings
Eighteen was joyuous, a relief, it was finally here, not thinking, not caring, freedom I'm all grown up
Twenty-One was heavenly, thought I was grown, now it's official
Time to party
Twenty-Five starting to worry, life half way over
The next year that counted........
Thirty!
I cried, fretting, anxious, wondering what's next........
Then a peaceful, soothing feeling
Now making life changing decisions
Turning Thirty, living my years........
Looking forward to my forties
