1 tsp. Cornstarch
½ tsp. Cold cream
½ tsp. Water
food coloring

First you will need to mix together the cornstarch and the cold cream until it is a nice creamy texture. Then you will add the water and stir. When it comes to color, as I said, the options are endless. This is also a great lesson for your children about colors and how mixing one primary color with another, they will get a secondary color. An easy example of this would be blue plus yellow equals green. In order to control the colors better, add only one drop at a time.

There are plenty of costumes that can easily be made with materials found around the home. You may want to add some finishing touches bought from the store, but as a whole, most of these costumes can come mostly from home. This is good for a few reasons. You will be teaching your child to go "green" by using items that may otherwise be thrown away.
