Empty stares,
Unfeeling smiles,
Nothing left of this helpless soul
Who gave so much for love.
Dedicating a life,
Killing all dreams,
Day by day following the sun's light
Into a somber and dark path.
What came about was false hopes
For returned love.
Still this helpless soul trodded on,
Shaking away all misfortunes
As if destiny would soon prevail in her favor.
Her struggle transformed into misery
As the one she loved
Turned his back forever,
Never speaking a word,
Never looking her way,
Never passing by her without a cold wind following.
Her broken heart was the only result,
Yet from this she can never recover,
This helpless soul who loved too much
And paid for it in the end.
