This Old Rough Stone

I can be or do
nothing good
in and of myself.
I need You Lord.

Oh please
buff the old rough
stone that is me.
and make me smooth.

Purify me in the fires
of tribulation, pain and divine love.
Then give me a new name
that only You know.

Make me like Christ
Forevermore.
