wearing a coat of
cotton candy clouds
over shining ocean blue
and verdant green.
This pretty planet
spinning toward the sun
from night bringing day.
This pretty planet,
blue marbled jewel in space.
We did not make it
and cannot stop it
from spelling out
our insignificance.
Our little plans and pains
and puffed up pride
our pretense of power.
All mean nothing
next to knowing
the One
Whose perfect eye
spun this
pretty planet
and wrapped it
in cotton candy clouds.

A NASA Goddard Space Flight Center spokesperson said, "These are spectacular 'blue marble' images, which show the beauty of our small planet."
