This Silly Old Cat
My First Cat Poem in Five Haiku Form; In Response to Kady Burney's Cat Poem Trilogy
sudden appearance
intruding my grassy view
at this shady park
intruding my grassy view
at this shady park
an old cat pounces
out of empty air he drops
together we pause
stillness roams apart
distant sound of flapping wings
lucky bird indeed
then this old cat begins
clawing the dirt under him
O such self-excuse!
I can't help laughing
at display of clumsiness
from this silly old cat

Harry, I came back again to read this. Do you honestly know how good this poem is??? I mean, really. Do you really know? It's really GREAT!!!! You can write so well and I am so impressed and thrilled by it! I would love if it if my cat haikus were even one percent as good as this! The visuals are great and the words are great! Oh my yes, I do so love this poem! Keep it up!!!!!
