This Too Shall Pass

C. Love
It's hard to see when it's raining so hard
With winds raging, hail pounding,
Thunder making the ground rumble where you stand
It's hard to remember the storm won't last forever
To remember that this too shall pass

Walking through this journey called life
We encounter pitfalls, all manner of strife
Just when you think you climbed out of the hole
Another obstacle to another goal
Tryin' to make a dollar out of 15 cents
Or find a way to get over the fence
As it gets harder you can admit
It's difficult fighting the desire to quit

It's hard to see when it's raining so hard
With winds raging, hail pounding,
Thunder making the ground rumble where you stand
It's hard to remember the storm won't last forever
To remember that this too shall pass

When it seems the walls are closing in
No one is there, not even friends
Walking forward, wind pushing you back
Trying to move forward, get back on track
It's hard to keep the end in sight
To remember things will be alright
That the struggle you're in won't last forever
You'll make it through come whatever

This too shall pass
The trouble you endure right now won't last
It will pass, it will surely pass
Just may not come how you want, real fast

It's hard to see when it's raining so hard
With winds raging, hail pounding,
Thunder making the ground rumble where you stand
It's hard to remember the storm won't last forever
To remember that this too shall pass

Beautiful poem and so true. The way I get through the challenges of my life is knowing "that this too shall pass".
