This Water is Me

This bubbling brook calls to me,
It whispers its ancient ways, sings of olden days
This flowing stream sings to me,
Its song of purity, unity, and connection.
It calls to me to open my eyes and see

This bubbling brook calls to me,
It lulls me with dreams of peace for humanity
This dancing river walks with me
It is always standing next to me
In the dark, in the strife, in the daily tortures of life.
This stream, calms the demons within me

This river is like me, this water is my body
This essence of life, is inside of me
This flowing water is inside, on top, and underneath me
Mothers ancient whispers soothe me
Warning me of our self inflicted travesty-
Of the bloody cuts and un-healing wounds we have inflicted upon she
She who is the Mother and Guardian of our world.
Calling to us to remember that we are her children,
That we are her caretakers-

Do not rape me, I am a part of you and you of me
Do not sicken me, I am inside you and you are within me
Do not poison me, for I am your life and you live beside me-

I am the way you live, day to day,
Do you not see, that you are a part of me?
