This is Winter
barren, fruitless trees
not a creature stirring
cool crisp breeze
this is winter...
Warm glowing fire
family gathered round
sweet cheerful laughter
oh, can you hear the melodious sound
this is winter
sweet smells are baking
smiles basking in the glow of firelight
no leaves left for raking
warm shadows glowing bright
this is winter
time for giving
Christmas trees all filled with lights
a new beginning
all the new beautiful sights
this is winter
the warmth of a nice cozy bed
the family all snuggled in
the room filled with greens and reds
wondering how this year will end...
this is winter
new beginning
the trees will soon be full again
the caroler's singing
to bring the new year in...
that was winter...
