This Wooden Little Land

Buddy Reed
Behind a wooden door in a little wooden room,

Lies a little wooden man with a bible in his hand.

As I gaze into his eyes a reflection I do see,

Of this wooden little man staring back at me.

He asks me one short question before he leaves my sight,

"Do you know the difference between what's wrong and right?"

This question once perplexed me, I didn't know the truth.

I tossed and turned at night, with no sleep for me in sight.

Now seeing how this wooden man hangs upon his cross,

He died for all our sins and gave us what we lost.

I owe it all to him, this life I do receive.

The quest that lies before me, is to follow and believe.

If you get the chance to take a trip my friend,

Go see that little wooden man with the bible in his hand.

Pay close attention to his little wooden cross,

His crown of thorns, injured side, and know that he is boss.

Now pay respect unto our King in this wooden little land,

If your sincere then he will know and take you by the hand.
