The man is Thomas Beatie, who grew up in Hawaii as Tracy, becoming a model and a finalist in this contest. Beatie began dressing and living as a man when he entered his 20s. Eventually he underwent this type of surgery, but elected to retain his female reproductive organs.
Beatie married in 2003. His wife is unable to bear children. Why? They had their first child, a girl, in 2008, and he announced his pregnancy on this TV show. When was their second one born? How have the children been conceived? The couple lives in Oregon, where they own their own business.

OK, you have probably read these statistics many times about this person. I have. My problem with this whole thing is the publicity. They are advertising that this is a man having a baby. No it isn't. It is a woman having a baby, looking like a man. He was a woman. He never had the reproductive organs taken out, so he is still a female. He is not a phenomenon, his is a freak. He is a woman who wasn't happy with HERSELF, who decided to do what thousands have done and be a man. Sex Change Folks, not a miracle of a man having a baby.

Don't we get tired here is America of bullshit news that is so far off and out there, it is just stupid? I totally do. I try to tolerate differences, but this is getting ridiculous. Had it been a miracle, I would have been first in line to say, "OH WOW"! However, when you take a normal action and try to make money from it as a miracle, it is just sad. The news media is at a loss for subject matter as it is. Now, they have taken a sick story that should have been kept private and tried to make it sensational.

We are desperate in this country for news. We don't care if it is bad news, good news or weird news, we just can't get enough. The more bizarre the better. Thomas Beatie is a freak. His family is a freak show. He doesn't warrant the attention he has been given and is continuing to be given. This is a case of lesbians having children. Just because they sewed a penis on him, doesn't make him a man. It makes him sad and sick. It makes his wife as weird as him. It is truly sad for the children coming.

We have lost all concept of being parents in this country. We think that if there is someone who wants a child, gay, screwed up or whatever, then go for it. What kind of children are we raising? Will the generation coming even have sense enough to wipe their own butts? Doubtful.

As long as the news media deems it good to talk about this stuff, people will continue to crave the weird and obnoxious. Thomas Beatie is not a man having a baby. He is not a miracle. He is a woman. He is doing what women do, have children. If the news media lacks sufficient stories to talk about, they maybe should consider just being quiet for a change. This wasn't news. This should have been put in the circus as a "FREAK SHOW"!

It is a lie and a farce. It is sad that we get off on such crap these days. We will forever know Thomas Beatie as a "MAN" who had a baby. Don't we get tired of lying in America, just to be seen?
