Thomas' Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Toasting Bread

Consumer Product Review

Thomas J McCabe
While grocery shopping recently, I noticed that Thomas' Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Toasting Bread was on sale. Normally, this high quality bread is out of my price range, but the sale price was very reasonable, so I purchased one loaf.

This bread tasted even better than I remembered and I think it would be a good product to review. Presented here, as a service to the consumer at large, is an article which reviews and examines Thomas' Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Toasting Bread.

Size
The net weight of the standard sized loaf of Thomas' Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread is 15 ounces. The loaf contains 12 one slice servings. Although the loaf does not contain an abundance of slices, I think that the high quality of the bread offsets the size of the loaf.

Price
The regular retail price charged for one 15 ounce loaf of Thomas' Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Toasting Bread at Hartford, Connecticut area supermarkets is approximately $3.99 - $4.19. The price of this bread is way out of my normal price range, but if I see it on sale at substantial savings, I will occasionally purchase a loaf.

Of course, like anything else the price of this bread is relative. After all, this is a very tasty, high quality variety of bread. To some people, its price is irrelevant. The flavor, texture and overall quality of the product make up for its high price. If I could afford to, I would eat this bread on a regular basis.

Texture
When it comes to texture, Thomas' Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread offers a soft and slightly moist, yet firm consistency that is quite pleasing. When this bread is eaten just the way it is, untoasted, its texture is very enjoyable, but when it is toasted, this bread really shines.

This item is one of Thomas' Toasting breads and it sure does toast well. Right out of the toaster, topped with butter, vegetable oil spread or peanut butter, this bread offers a sublime mouth - feel.

Taste / Flavor
This is a very flavorful variety of bread. The grain part of the bread is tasty on its own, but the infusion of raisins and swirls of cinnamon makes it delicious. This is a Sunday morning breakfast bread, with an old fashioned flavor that qualifies as comfort food.

Thomas' Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Toasting Bread is slightly and appropriately - sweet, via the good amount of soft raisins that populate each slice. The swirls of cinnamon and the light dusting of cinnamon on each slice of this bread work very well with the raisins.

On a flavor scale of one through ten, I would assign this delightful bread a rating of 9.75.

Packaging
Thomas' Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Toasting Bread is packaged in a clear plastic bread bag with a maroonish label that features the famous orange Thomas' logo that shows a horse drawn carriage. An appetizing illustration of butter - topped slices of the bread graces the front of the wrapper and all pertinent ingredient and nutritional information is listed on the rear label.

Overall Rating
No doubt about it, Thomas' Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Toasting Bread is a top -quality, delicious variety of bread. To me, it is a special occasion, pamper yourself type of item.

Although it is not inexpensively priced, this bread is worth its cost, if you can afford it. If you see it on sale, as I did, I highly recommend purchasing a loaf.
