Thoughts Emancipated

Stephanie Alford
I feel a wave of liberation
Wash over my small frame
Each time I manage to catch a glimpse
Of your ever-so-sweet countenance
The last time I even entertained the notion
Of possessing such feelings
I discovered that my so-called love
Had been a complete sham
And was sinfully desecrated
It was a major epoch in my life
To find someone such as you
One that I could share my intimate thoughts with
These thoughts that I think of you
Are an intricately woven triangle
You and I are the two apexes
That form the lower portion
The complete line segment
That goes on infinitely
But at each point of this segment
Two more lines form a zenith
At the highest point
This is where our future lies
In the form of another human being
This zenith, the spawn of ourselves
The life that encompasses both of us
Will ultimately prove to be
The one life that allows us to carry on

I've returned from my little emotional sabbatical. Much better now.  View profile

Some people find it challenging to balance work, school and relationships well, while others don't even attempt all three at once. It is a juggling act to keep everything afloat.
