Brian Adams was 1st noticed in the mainstream with the World Wrestling Federation joining Demolition. He was Crush at the time and he was the 3rd member. The main idea was to have him replace Ax and faze him out into more of a manager role but that didn't happen. The team was mainly Smash and Crush. While Ax was around, they did 6 man tag team matches in House Shows with the Road Warriors and The Ultimate Warrior. Ax was gone from the company and shortly after Crush would get repackaged into being a face and Smash would later believe it or not be the Repo Man thus ending the Demolition tag team.
Crush would later just stay in the mid card and wasn't that bad for a performer. In a twist of irony, he would face off with his former Smash, then known as The Repo Man with Crush coming out on top. One of his memorable feuds for better or for worse was when he was against Doink the Clown. The match culminated at Wrestlemania 9 where there were 2 Doinks but the whole idea was to make it seem like an illusion. He's had some decent matches like when he faced off with a younger Shawn Michaels when he was the Intercontinental Champion. Though he did not win, he would then later faced off with then-WWF Champion Yokozuna. He would be put out of action to recover from a serious hand injury and was out for months. When he returned, he would turn heel by attacking Macho Man Randy Savage, which ended up happening at Wrestlemania 10.
Not all was good as he had some major off the wrestling field issues. He was briefly in jail due to having an illegal guns and purchasing steroids while he was in Hawaii. He later returned and would be heel being one of the original members of the Nation of Domination. As that group would later change its direction, he then became the leader of his own group the D.O.A. in the "gang wars" storyline while Savio Vega, the other member of the original Nation, had Los Boricuas. That storyline ended mostly having to do with how controversial it is and about gangs with the blacks against the whites and against the Puerto Ricans. He would later leave the WWF due to his protest against the Montreal Screwjob.
When arriving to WCW and was there until it was gone in 2001, he had some success. Winning only the WCW Tag Team Titles was the highlight of his WCW tenure. Originally, he would be known as a member of the New World Order but would have more success with the team of Kronik teaming with Bryan Clark, who was known in WWF as Adam Bomb and in WCW was known as Wrath. The team would eventually arrive being managed by Steven Richards only for one match against The Brothers of Destruction. They however would not be seen again as they would be released shortly after that match.
Sadly just this past week, Brian Adams would pass away at the age of 43 having an unknown cause of death. An autopsy was unable to reveal it so it is pure speculation as to what happen. There was neither sign of injury nor any level of drugs so it is unknown. He was talked about on Nancy Grace with the show's favorite guest on wrestling Marc Mero. He kept going on the plead of wrestling needs to change but at the time of death, Adams was not working for the WWE nor was there a drug wellness policy when he was with the company, at least not known publicly. All in all he was a decent wrestler for his size and was a hard worker. He was never used in the mainstream promotions WWE and WCW as a top tier performer but could get the job done in the ring when necessary and with the right chemistry. Was he a certified legend? Probably not at all but he was a mid-card wrestler at best. There is most likely not a chance of induction into the WWE Hall of Fame as there was no known legacy he ever put together and that's not a knock on him because that honor is very hard to achieve. Based upon credentials he's done, it wouldn't warrant it at this moment, as there are other deserving people that should go in before him.
