Thoughts to Ponder Upon

Roller-Coaster Ride of a Life

Catdog
All our lives will always have it's ups and downs
Taking the laughs and fighting the frowns
Some more often occurring than not, they remain
No escape from them, only wisdom to obtain

From every experience, a lesson to learn
Rewarded by many things, knowledge we earn
Dependent upon our depth is the vital issue
How far we shall dwell, extents to pursue

Because the life we tend to make in things to come
We, being the end result of our own outcome
If in turn we stay close-minded to the ordeal
Our benefits are lesser than what's to appeal

And to glorify the we pain we suffered in the moment
If we've taken all that offered to us in the torment
The precious jewels of living we shall receive
The happier our future, we must truly believe
Certain that strength and wisdom we always had
To protect ourselves from repetition bad

Not only in harm shall we manifest unto
Happiness as well, brings lessons of virtue
Building character of the mold's shell
Of the beauty inside growing to avail

Creating a positive example for the youth of today
Someone they may turn to in their own dismay
The keys to unlock any door shall soon be yours
If all the lessons you did not formulate detours

Fear keeping at bay the unknown answers you could not face
Understandably we all have, time and growth shall replace
Aware we were afraid, only to ourselves did we close the doors
From unknown answers that bring us our dearest rewards

Fully live life each day, within every single breath
To the old person, no longer held down in death
Now your eyes wide open, in view come magnificent promises
No longer taking on all of life's consequential sacrifices

Wherefore wisdom and knowledge you will take
Inspiration and creation are yours to make
Upon awakening every acceptable morning
Bright eyes and smiling, today you are now joining

The beautiful realm of debating; analyzing away
The simple and yet useless worries of today
Remember you are in complete control now
The outcome of your day: "yours," you bow

Congratulations to making your decision
To a new look at life; adding revision

Disappointed do not be my friends, the rewards sometimes
Don't always come immediately, that instant, right then
Oh, but when it does you'll hear the "jackpot" chimes
At that time you'll know; only remembering the "when"

Oh!.........and I also wanted to clarify that I couldn't get to your article soon enough because of my work and class schedule as well....................

Excellent poem !.....................I love the the picture also....................I see you do not get to write that often with your busy class schedule. However, I have to appreciate one fact that you just don't write for the sake of writing. Your articles have a certain standard. I have seen some of the CPs write some stuff that are not even worth my time. Picasso has explained it well in the article : "Brilliant Minds or Illiterates ?" ..................the link is as follows : http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/725745/brilliant_minds_or_illiterates_.html
