All of us
Falling through the cracks
The fractures in time
Space
Life
All caught in the endless spiral
Music pounding our ears
As waves crash into the sky
Sapphire sunset and autumn dawn
Leading our upward glance
Fool us
Captivated by hope we fail
We see the sun rise
Believe we will follow
Yet never do
The ascent of eternal light
Paths barred meticulously
Not by thorns or fire
Blocked by us
Us?
Yes
We are the guardians
Falling to our end
Helpless to save the descendants
These are our woes
