Thoughts by Street Light

Missy H.
Wrote this in October

As I write by the street light
coming in my window tonight
I think about who I have become
and who I have yet to be

I sit in the dark peering out
pondering random regret and doubt
as my body turns sleepy and numb
and I ignore it's tired plea

I think back on days gone by
marveling at the way time flies
Life seems slow and yet so fast
Should we speed it up or make it last?
