Lost Souls By Poppy Z Brite Written In 1992:
Lost Souls is a graphically sexy, frightening, somewhat sad look into the lives of not only vampires but humans and a sort of psychic and several other odd characters including ghosts. It is about the product born of a vampire and human mating, a human in most senses of the word but different nonetheless. It is about him finding himself his father and the chaos that ensues. Would be best directed by Oliver Stone
Cast Of Characters If Chosen By Me:
Zillah: He is the leader of the trio of vampires, he is everything that you want in a vampire character, sexy, scary and ruthless he should be played by: Timothy Olyphant, he already looks somewhat like a vampire and I'm sure he can do bad really good.
Molochai & Twig: These two are vampires that rely on their leader to lead them in all they do, they are cruel and vicious and lack any morality whatsoever in my mind they would be played by: James Franco, as both done up a little bit differently for each one but they are basically the same anyways.
Nothing: He is the most important role, the main character a whiny self absorbed half human half vampire teenager who knows he is different but does not know why at first, he should be played by: Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter) without bleach blonde hair would be great for this role.
Christian: He is the oldest, the most wise and sedate, my favorite of all the characters, he is also somewhat of a sad Vampire a beautiful complex creature I think Colin Farell would be perfect for this role.
Ghost: He is a psychically sensitive soul, very sedate somewhat sickly. He is very important to the story being that he is part of the band "Lost Souls" that pulls Nothing out of his home and into a trek to get to them I think Haley Joel Osment would be good in this role because of the complexity of the character Ghost Haley is young enough still to look the part and he is one of the better young actors out right now.
Steve: He is a drunk who beats his girlfriend my least favorite character yet he is important he is Ghosts best friend and he plays a major role in the ending of the story, he is also part of the band "Lost Souls" I think that Dominic Monaghan (Lost's Charlie) would be great in this role.
Jesse: Nothing's birth mother has very little to do with the book after the first few chapters yet she is the teenager mother who carry's the vampire child to term and therefore is very important: I was thinking that Selena Gomez would look great as Jesse, I'm sure she could play an angst teenage girl obsessed with vampires willing to do anything to gain their affection.

The story is about a totalitarian future in which the government (party, big brother) has all control they can make history be rewritten. They can make your children turn against you. You can not feel love, pain, happiness you must feel nothing except complete adoration for the party. Winston the main character defies them. He keeps a diary then falls in love all the while knowing that it will result in his downfall.
This book already has a movie but the movie is not well known it's almost thirty years old and even though they did a wonderful job keeping to the book and the main character Winston played by John Hurt, I think they could have had done a lot better with the other characters. Steven Speilberg should be the director.
Cast Of Characters If Chosen By Me:
Winston: the main character he is middle aged haggard looking, and knows that what the party is doing is wrong yet he is helpless to change it. I truly think that John Hurt played him so well that no one could ever top that; however if I had to choose a man for this role I would choose Jim Cavezial. He is a wonderfully underrated actor who would do the role of Winston justice.
Julia: Her character is young healthy full of life and very daring. She acts the part of a young woman in the anti sex league yet she secretly loves sex and sneaks of to have it when she can. She falls in love with Winston and together they have an affair for as long as they can. Claire Danes is the woman this role was meant for, she would be perfect.
O'Brien: he is a deceiver he makes them think he is one of them someone against big brother against thought police and their way of life altogether. He makes them think there is an underground movement waiting in the shadows to help them, but there is not and he is not. John Goodman would play this role perfectly. He is such a likeable guy yet he can turn and be evil at the drop of a hat.
Charrington: While his character may seem relatively unimportant as the man who owns a store outside in the prolls, (basically the working class poor, lowest of the low) he is the eyes and ears following Julia and Winston and his betrayal is what costs them everything. He is my favorite character, because he duped me as well as them. I think he should be played by no other than Ian Mckellen, he would be perfect.
Heart Of A Warrior Written By Johanna Lindsey Published in 2001
Ok, it's a romance novel yes but woman would eat it up if it was made into a romantic comedy. Story is about a stunningly statuesque yet somewhat reserved woman who lives in a small town in California. She sees what appears to be a man a very sexy man in need of help, she knows something unusual is happening in her small town. He needs help, she wants him so on it goes. Turns out he is an alien, who is human formed from another planet far away who has come to save earth from another race of aliens (also human formed) who use mind control to get what they want. It sounds scary but what ensues is pure comical romance the whole way through. Would be best directed by Penny Marshall
Cast If I was To Choose:
Brittany: this woman is stubborn in her beliefs, very pretty and quite tall as well. I think Laura Prepon would play her just fine.
Dalden: well, tall, handsome, and he is stubborn as well, not much for small talk either always getting straight to the point. He would be best played by Christian Bale. Ok I know that Mr Bale would probably never take a role like this but a girl can dream right.
Well there you have it, my list of books I would turn into movies and why.
